The FBI can remotely activate the microphone on your Android phone

Haven't called your Big Brother lately? Don't worry: If you have an Android phone, he may have heard all your conversations anyway. The FBI is now so good at electronic hacking that it allegedly can commandeer smartphones running Google's Android software and remotely activate their microphones without the user knowing. The allegation was made by the Wall Street Journal on Friday, and while the paper says the bureau uses these techniques only under court orders, the idea of cellphones being used as secret government listening devices has the Internet majorly creeped out.
